About the event

iRest is a modernized, simplified, trauma-sensitive form of guided meditation for building resiliency. This form of Yoga Nidra, also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation” is usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. 

The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to rest between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of ease – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious, and deeper aspects of the mind are able to reveal themselves. From here, we are able to fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. 40min practice = 3 hrs of restorative sleep!
